How to get Fit and be Prepared for Your First Spartan Race
As a first time racer, you probably won’t be the fastest and you may not even be the slowest, as long as you cross that finish line is the only thing that matters. The only person you are racing is yourself. 
  You are already committed to your first-ever Spartan race. You've taken the first step. You have done what most people are too afraid to do. Now comes the next stage – Your PREPARATION 
  • TRAINING Together - Is beyond funanybody has the potential to train for, and participate in a Spartan Race - but building a solid fitness foundation, preparation, teamwork and motivation are important. No matter your situation, you will find from us all sorts of tools, inspirations, and community support to prepare.
  • MOTIVATION - Everyone has a different fitness goal. We will help you achieve your goals through the right mindsets. We will unlock your full fitness potential. With the right workout, you’ll find yourself moving, and even standing better and be Spartan ready.

WOD Anywhere
BODYWEIGHT TRAINING PLAN
We’ve built a list of functional Workout of the Day (WOD) Bodyweight Training Plan that you can do virtually anywhere, without any equipment or gear. This bodyweight WOD program is easy enough for beginners but can be adapted to challenge even the most seasoned athlete. No machines. No fancy workout bands or bouncy balls required. Just you, your body and a commitment that you're willing to put in the effort. The program consists of three bodyweight workouts that target strength, athleticism, and endurance.
TEAM Workout
OBSTACLE TRAINING PLAN
The Obstacle Training Plan for the group workout will help you build upper body strength, grip resilience, balance and leg power. We can’t do the obstacles for you, but we are happy to show you the way through them. Your legs will be tested, your grip will grow stronger. Over the next six weeks, you will maximize your leg strength, while also growing your upper body strength to help you to overcome the most signature of Spartan obstacles. You are sure to be completely prepared for the steepest of climbs.
Daily NUTRITION
DIET & NUTRITION PLAN
Your focus for optimal performance lies not only in the 24 hours surrounding the race, but also in the weeks (or even months) leading up to it: The better you eat, the more nutrients you’ll absorb and the better your performance. Maintaining adequate nutrition and hydration is also important. Our team of Registered Nutritionist Dieticians will give you Diet and Nutrition Program so you can stay at your peak performance before, during, and after the race.
Daily BURN
HOME TRAINING PLAN
We will simply work on your strength, endurance, and athleticism, the Home Fitness Training Program is a 6-session program based on Spartan SGX training and designed for a beginner's level to help you  conquer the obstacles of a Spartan Race. You'll fight your way through workouts focused on total-body conditioning for crawling, climbing, jumping, lifting, pulling, pushing, sprinting, squatting and more.
Bootcamp Training Components
Train smart. Eat right. Rest enough. Race hard.
Get stronger in 60 minutes from the group training and online individual home (anywhere) training. This high-energy cross training workout helps improve your cardio and strength fitness, and mobility in an effective and efficient program to have a complete fitness level, and to prevent injuries in the training and in the race. We’ll adjust the complexity and intensity of each move depending on what you can handle.

Cardiovascular Fitness + Strength + Mobility
We will tell you, Spartan races can be done without preparation, but you want the experience to be fun and not miserable and free from injuries.
Endurance Training
Although the race is only 5kms, don’t think you’re getting off easy. Even if you can finish a normal 5K in less than 30min, the Spartan Sprint will take anywhere from 45 minutes (if you’re fast) to as long as 2+ hours to complete. To get ready for the distance, we will progressively train you to be comfortable running 5kms before race-day.
Total Body Strength Circuits
To prepare for the obstacles in the Spartan Sprint, it’s important that we will work on your upper and lower body, and grip strength. You might have to climb over a wall, carry a sandbag uphill, complete a set of box jumps, climb across monkey bars, do a Herculean hoist, crawl under barbed wire, and more.
Obstacles Course Training
You’re starting with a Sprint race open category, a 5km race featuring 20 obstacles. We’ll focus on your  strength and conditioning to prepare you specifically for spartan race obstacles. We'll train you on some of the signature obstacles including different variation of exercise and clearing techniques on obstacles.
Diet and Nutrition
You get out of your body what you put into it. Proper nutrition and hydration are key for active recovery. Eating right takes discipline, but the way you’ll feel mentally and physically is more than worth it. Proper nutrition will increase your energy levels, clarity of thinking, enhance your mood, concentration and athletic performance.
Cross Training
Varying your workouts is better for you. The goal is improving your overall performance. Cross-training is a great way to condition different muscle groups, ability to vary the stress placed on specific muscles, develop a new set of skills, and reduce the boredom from same exercise routines. It will improve your cardio, muscles strength and endurance, or help speed your recovery and enhance your motivation. 
Rest and Recovery
When training, remember to listen to your body and rest when you need rest. Resting is just as important as working out because it's an equal part of the total process required to build strength, endurance, and muscle. It allows your body to make necessary adaptation, recovery and repair. Rest is crucial to improving your fitness, maximizing your results, and preventing injuries.
